Subtract for doors and door swing clearance — if your door swings inward, deduct the full swing arc from that wall's measurement. Also exclude space occupied by IT racks, electrical panels, locked cabinets, sprinkler zones, or any other obstructions. Each number should represent the actual available inches for shelving on that wall.
